The PNG LNG Project covers a large footprint, near Port Moresby to, Kopi in the Gulf Province, to Moro in the Southern Highlands Province, to Hides in the Hela Province, and along the Highlands Highway to Lae.
The Project began its journey in Papua New Guinea in 2007 when Exxon Mobil saw a window of opportunity in the rapidly growing natural gas market in Asia.

With outstanding collaboration, sound engineering and creative problems-solving this was achieved completing Papua New Guinea's first-ever LNG Project.
Over four years of construction, the project has worked with local communities, local businesses and government to develop a unique gas project that has attracted the attention of the world. The support of these partners was crucial in making the PNG LNG Project come to fruition.
