Chief Somare's Foundation

The Somare Foundation was built when Chief Sir. Michael Somare was a greate leader of Papua New Guinea.
The house looks unique and the area also shown respectful and beautiful.
The area keeps silent and noiceless everyday not to disturb our leaders or the staffs.
Sometimes later, the house was inspected by a group of building inspectors.

After inspecting, they have sent a sad report to the staffs and the owner of the building that; "The Somare Foundation is no in good condition. It shakes like the earthquake's vibrations."
They have sent warning notice to leave that house and dislocate everything in it.
To confirm, the other group of inspectors and investigators reinspected and investigated that it was true and confirmed.
So the house was left and the staffs transfered to another locations.

Today, you can see that the house is still there with its original shape and designs outside but inside is empty.
Very sad but still beautifying this respected area and does not produces eye sores.

Image of Bird of Paradise

Very unique and creatively, our artists here in Port Moresby designed the likeness of the Bird of Paradise. They built these double images by using heavy metals. They painted in the original patterns and colours of Bird of Paradise. The real given name for this bird in our TOK PISIN (TOCK- PEE-SEEN) is "KUMUL" (COO-MOOL.) Kumul is the only leading bird of all the Birds of Paradise. You may find the other birds of paradise some parts of the world but, you will never find KUMUL anywhere in the world. The only country you find Kumul is Papua New Guinea. (PNG). Today, Our talented artists more concerned about our beautiful city (Port Moresby) and try their very best to decorate and beautifying the city by expressing their skills.

Green Grasshopper in Port Moresby

The little green grasshopper struggles to look for green leaves to eat as its daily survival food. The patterns and colour of this little green grasshopper looks as the green plants. I was so interested in watching of this little thing eaten up all the green plant like bean leaf. I picked up my camera out of my pocket and got a shot on it. I post this because I want everyone to see this little living thing how it survives. More pictures about environments in Port Moresby, refreshes our busy minds. andiii kepaaa... www.portmoresbycity.blogsport.com

The old Pineapple Building

Just look at this beautiful pattern of this Building.  The pattern looks like a Big Pineapple from the garden. Well, this is not a pineapple but, this is one of the buildings in Port Moresby which was the country's  departmental head offices have been installed. The building sitted on the eight (8) posts. Its unbelievable but it is true.

Anyway, the very sad story about this building is that; 'during the operation period of this building, the occupants felt that the house was in movable condition and shakes every day.' They have questioned  "why this happened to this house?"Something must be wrong' we better leave this house before we're destroyed. They have deeply discussed regarding this matter and all agreed to leave this building and they have left absolutely. Before, they leave this building, they had a big moan and lastly they had big farewell party and left. They very sadly dislocated every thing from this building and transferred to another building. Today, very, very sadly you can see is only the white skeleton stand still just beside the Morauta House or today we normally say,"Prime Minister's Office." But it never loses its beautiful design and patterns to show that it is still the best of all the buildings in Port Moresby City. The area is restricted and secured. If they catch any one inside, they'll be judged PGK500.00 (US$167.00)spots fine.
If you really want to know more about it or see it, just make your way to Port Moresby and you will see it with your naked eyes. Feel free... feel at home... Love Port Moresby...

See you there in Port Moresby
